Post-Election Resource Roundup
Evergreen resources for this week and beyond.
Hello Community Leaders. As promised in yesterday's newsletter, I’ve created another Resource Roundup for you to leverage in light of this week's election results. One of the most important things we can do now and in the coming years is to lend our power, positionality, and privilege to causes greater than ourselves. Below, you’ll find resources to help you engage and advocate for oppressed and marginalized groups who will feel the significant impact of this administration's policies.
Find Local Groups through Indivisible: Locate a local Indivisible group to support. Thousands of groups nationwide are working to promote progressive change.
Support the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU): The ACLU offers guidance on immigration laws, abortion care, trans rights, and more. You can get involved in their grassroots efforts or donate if you’re limited on time.
Volunteer with the National Immigrant Justice Center: The National Immigrant Justice Center often seek pro bono attorney support and volunteer translators to assist their work.
Advocate with the National Immigration Law Center: The National Immigration Law Center focuses on asylum seekers, immigrant youth, and equitable access to social services. They drive most of their support work through petitions.
Help the Trevor Project: Leading up to and after this year’s election, the Trevor Project saw a 700% increase in need. They always need volunteers for their crisis support hotline, which will be crucial in the coming years.
